Bogdanoff takes us through the history of art, starting at the height of the Minoan Civilization c.2200 BC – 1450 BC, followed by the Geometric, Orientalizing, Archaic and Classical Periods (10th-4th centuries BC), past the Hellenistic age and into the early Roman Period (1st-3rd centuries AD), and on through the Byzantine (4th century AD), Gothic (12th-16th centuries) and Renaissance eras (13th-17th centuries AD). Along the way we encounter myth and religion as it relates to the evolution of the art movement through the ages.
