Faces
Before Bogdanoff was 10 years old, he would draw half-faces; only the left side. As he got older, he began to add the right side. Steve doesn’t have an explanation for his progression in creating the human face. It may have to do with his lack of formal training. However, it may explain why his faces have dramatic contrasts of light and dark. The eyes that Steve paints are extraordinary. From the flecks in the iris, to each eyelash stroke and the shadows they cast, his eyes fascinate all who studies them. To add to his list of accomplishments, Steve is also a sought-after portrait artist, and those who commission him insist that he creates the portraits in his signature fresco style.
